Last minute "Easter Bunny" mommy

So I know I'm WAY late, meaning 10:48 p.m. aka... hours before the easter bunny or as Caprice says "Easter" will come and make his or maybe even, her grand debut into your home for you to maybe possibly make this Egg Carton Cross with your mini.... BUT I guess that sums up how totally last minute I am when it comes to this holiday!!!

I will blame it on work and being busy with Stella. I mean for Christmas, I had Caprice's advent calendar planned and the agenda TYPED out color coordinated all ready to go December 1st. I can thank
maternity leave and Stella for being born around that time for that one! Well today, the day before Easter, I made it to The Dollar Tree, which oh my PS is the best place for times like this. I filled Caprice's basket for $20! Ummmm hello score... Greatest stuff for a toddler there! And I even got the paint and pom pom balls there too to make this craft. I'm realizing now though that I didn't take step by step pictures to post the "How To" part but it's pretty basic and can be copied from the few pics I got. I'm completely new to this blogging thing as you can tell. I will get better at thinking ahead, I promise..

I found this on Pinterest this morning when I was frantically searching for something Easy and Cheap to do! This is seriously just that. I love the cross because it symbolizes the importance of this special holiday and she is completely obsessed with paint right now!

Ok here's how//
Cut out an egg carton into a cross, 6 down and 3 across. One of my childhood friends, Jessica was visiting from Georgia or as Caprice says "Auntie Jeff".. Well that's another story that we just don't have time for, but she thought of the brilliant idea to spray paint it first before painting it, which was a FAB idea and really much cuter then my inspiration one especially since I had some in the garage.. Once that is done all you need to do next is get some paint and let your mini go to town on that sucker! Once Caprice started painting it, she was in heaven and completely focused. Loved that part obviously..

I then put glue down for her to add the little pom pom balls and glitter and voila all done! So perfect for her to do... I'm hoping next year I'll be more prepared, but maybe the last minute impromptu things are the best to do...and most memorable..

|| Here is also a few pics from Easter morning.. Happy Easter everyone! Hope you have a great day with your families ||
